Local Business with Global Impact!
Our social enterprise aims to provide lasting solutions to children’s inactivity by supporting and building healthy and active lives for children and their families. We teach Capoeira & Djembe drumming to encourage all kiddos to be active for life #beactive4life
We’re based on the principle that all youth and their families, regardless of financial, ethnical, physical, and social background, should have equal access to physical and music activities that support healthy development.
Our paid services of after school and breakfast classes, workshops, birthday parties and events raise money to cover business expenses and go towards free services of school programmes, community workshops and events for children and their families, especially those from lower financial backgrounds who wouldn’t normally be able to experience Capoeira and Djembe drumming.

Our Objectives:
· To develop physical literacy by helping children and their families to keep healthy and active by encouraging them to learn and train Capoeira and play African Djembe drums.
· To inspire and empower children to be more active by exploring their body awareness, creativity and the energy potential that sits within them.
· To support children from low income households by widening the reach of Capoeira and Djembe drumming especially with those who do not do enough sport and art due to lack of access to sport and art facilities or classes, so those without the financial means to afford leisure activities. The organisation offers free classes, workshops and educational programmes to schools and individuals in the financially challenged areas of Edinburgh.
· To tackle inequality through targeting those who live in poverty or residing in areas of social and economic deprivation in Edinburgh, including but not limited to those from Black and/or Minority Ethnic backgrounds and those families where English is not the first language and so children learn two or more languages from when they are born. The organisation strengthens social inclusion especially in the areas of Edinburgh that are more affected by poverty and inequality.
Our History
We have over 20 years of experience in Capoeira and Djembe Drumming collectively and decided to partner together in 2020 to collaborate and start our social enterprise. We are now registered Limited Company by Guarantee with an asset lock (SC703609) as of July 2021 and are ready to deliver workshops at schools, communities, corporate companies in Edinburgh and beyond.
Our Experience
After over 20 years of training and many years of teaching Capoeira with group TUCUM & Djembe Drumming as freelancers, Kasia and Grześ decided to turn their business into a force for good and set up a social enterprise to provide lasting solutions to children inactivity by supporting and building healthy and active lives for children and their families.

We were working with communities first in Lodz, Poland, and now in the City of Edinburgh. Our main work is based in Fountainpark, Dalry and Gorgie where we run regular after school classes, Marchmont where we run breakfast clubs and South West of Edinburgh where we provide free programmes of movement and music to schools and communities.
