We would like to offer your child an opportunity to try and fall in love with Capoeira, a Brazilian Cultural Art. We are a small team of talented Capoeira teachers with a wide range of skills and experience. We love what we do, and we do it with passion. We look forward to meet you and inviting you to our community.
The new term in the New Year 2023 restart the week of the 9th of January.
We have classes for:
4 to 6 years old on Mondays 3:45pm till 4:45pm
7 to 11 years old on Monday 4:45pm till 5:45pm
6 – 10 years old on Thursday 3:45pm till 4:45pm
11 to 16 years old on Thursday 4:45 till 5:45pm
Our classes are all at North Merchiston Club, 48 Watson Crescent, EH11 1EP.
Classes are £7.50 per session payable pay as you go for the first month and then in block bookings.
Game
We play capoeira, not fight!
Capoeira is a very playful activity, it has elements of martial art and can be used as a self defence but more importantly it teaches children how to look after each other and be safe!
Flexibility and Acrobatics
Let’s develop through Capoeira
Your child doesn’t need to be flexible or know acrobatics to train Capoeira. Our experience teachers will develop this in a safe and fun way!
Music
Music is a vital part of Capoeira
Capoeira cannot exist without music, singing songs and making music with instruments. Your child will learn how to play berimbau, atabaque drum and pandeiro – tambourine.
